Included in the invitation to register and march in the parade are:

  • Local bands
  • Organizations
  • Groups
  • Businesses
  • Individuals

The theme for this year’s WinterFest Parade is “Toys on Parade.”

Cash prizes, totaling $1,500 will be awarded in two different categories:

  • Best Overall Theme
  • Best Costume

The Parade is only one aspect of the three-day WinterFest holiday celebration. This annual event also features other family-friendly activities including:

  • Ice skating
  • Santa Claus visits
  • and holiday entertainment from Dec. 10 to Dec. 12, 2009

Anyone interested in participating in the WinterFest Parade can find their parade application at the Henderson Live website. They can also call the Department of Cultural Arts & Tourism at 702-267-2171.

Please Note:  The deadline to submit your application to participate is Wednesday, November 25, 2009

The WinterFest Parade will be on Saturday, December 12, 2009 beginning at 10:00 am. It will be on Water Street from Ocean Avenue to Pacific Avenue.
