Mark you calendar because you won’t want to missing the opening of the 23rd season of the Henderson Symphony Orchestra on Friday, September 11, 2009.

The September 4, 2009 event features the number one local country band, The Randy Anderson Band.

Every Saturday morning the “Cars and Coffee” meet displays about 300 classic and muscle cars.

The Dolls of Japan Exhibit – subtitled Shapes of Prayer, Embodiments of Love – is showcasing 70 unique pieces that are on loan from the Japan Foundation in Tokyo. These pieces embody the arts, traditions and culture in the “Land of the Rising Sun”.

Henderson is again hosting its annual Back-2-School event on Saturday, August 22, 2009 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

On Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 5:00 pm to 9:00pm, Henderson’s Whitney Ranch Indoor Pool is hosting the Southern Nevada Lifeguard Games.
