Dates and Times

Get the kids up early on Saturday (either July 25, 2009 or August 1, 2009) so they don’t miss out on this free workshop for budding naturalists.

The workshop is being held at the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve – 2400 B Moser Dr. – from 7am to 8am on July 25th or August 1st. The participants only need to attend one session, so pick the date the works best for you.

How To Register

The workshop is open to kids 6-12. You can register online at http://www.cityofhenderson.com and choose Activity 193000-64 for the July 25th session or Activity 193000-65 for the August 1st session. You can also register at any City of Henderson recreation center.

At each session, the junior naturalists will be guided by an experienced Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve staff member. The intent is to collect data on such things as weather conditions, plants, animals and birds.

It’s a hands-on workshop designed to highlight outdoor exploration and research and to encourage a respect for the natural world.
