The City of Henderson, Nevada is inviting local residents to participate in the upcoming WinterFest Parade.

Included in the invitation to register and march in the parade are:

• Local bands
• Organizations
• Groups
• Businesses
• Individuals

The theme for this year’s WinterFest Parade is “Toys on Parade.”

Cash prizes, totaling $1,500 will be awarded in two different categories:

• Best Overall Theme
• Best Costume

The Parade is only one aspect of the three-day WinterFest holiday celebration. This annual event also features other family-friendly activities including:

• Ice skating
• Santa Claus visits
• and holiday entertainment from Dec. 10 to Dec. 12, 2009

Please Note:  The deadline to submit your application to participate is Wednesday, November 25, 2009

The WinterFest Parade will be on Saturday, December 12, 2009 beginning at 10:00 am. It will be on Water Street from Ocean Avenue to Pacific Avenue.
